# POST client configuration

The POST client configuration defines where the POST messages are sent from the gateway and must be set to the Boomerang 3 server WIN receiver page.

1\. Go to System Configuration -> POST Client to open “POST Client Configuration” form.

2\. Check that the checkboxes “Enable Timed Sending”, “Enable Buffered Sending” and “POST Header” are selected and “Connect using SSL” is not.

3\. Fill in the “Period” field with 3600. This field defines in seconds how often the gateway by itself communicates with the server and does not affect the nodes period.

4\. The “URL” field defines where the POST messages are sent from the gateway and must be set to the Boomerang 3 server WIN receiver page. The content of this field depends on the gateway type and can be found in Boomerang 3 in a gateway definition form as shown in [Create gateway in Bommerang 3](/win-gateway-installation-manual/quick-installation/create-gateway-in-bommerang-3.md).

For WIN gateway it is

**http\://\[*****B3URL*****]/receiver/win**

where \[B3URL] is the Boomerang 3 system URL.

In the example the URL is <http://weblog.icutech.pl/receiver/win>.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://help.boomerang3.com/win-gateway-installation-manual/quick-installation/win-gateway-setup/post-client-configuration.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
