# Radio Net ID and Node ID

Every radio network consists of one PC Node with Node ID = 1 and Radio Net ID being an integer number from 1 to 254 range.

Radio Net ID = 255 is used by [S3 node version](/s2-radio-system-manual/s2-system-description/s2-node/s3-node-version.md).

The Radio Net ID must be the same for the PC node and all the measuring nodes belonging to its radio network.

Every measuring node belonging to the network must have a unique Node ID which is an integer number from 2 to 254 range.
