B3 or B2/Coolguard, com- and boot-error indication v.1

In this example we want to create the following scenario:

  • CH1 shall control a yellow lamp (warning)

  • CH2 shall control a red lamp (alarm)

  • Communication/Network/Boot failure shall be indicated on CH2 (red)

Operation mode

To achieve this the URL(s) must be created in the server (B2) or the relevant alarm groups connected to their alarm/warning events (B3). Warnings must be directed to CH1 and alarms to CH2.

Depending on the monitoring system type correct operation mode must be selected as described in Operation modes.

Logic channels configuration

In the config file, the following must be set:

TURN_ON_CH2_IF_CONNECTION_FAILS=1
INVERT_CH1=1
INVERT_CH2=1

To compensate for the software logic negation created, it is necessary to add hardware negation by changing jumpers for CH1 and CH2 to NPS as shown in Jumper settings for PS and NPS modes.

Now, with two negations, the box will provide signal warnings and alarms on CH1 and CH2 respectively. Both CH1 and CH2 (red and yellow) will be active while CCG1018 boots, or fails to boot.

CH2 (red) will be active in case of no contact with the server.
