Sign

Confirming the actions

Signing confirms a change or action in the system. It provides traceability and an audit trail.

When signing is required

Signing is required for changes that affect system state.

Examples:

  • changing user settings (such as email)

  • measuring point calibration adjustments

  • alarm acceptance and signing

The system stores the signing history in the database.

User Signature form

When signing is required, the User Signature form opens.

If PIN is enabled for the system group and for your user, the form looks like this:

Enter credentials

Enter your username and password.

If PIN is enabled and selected, enter your PIN instead.

Add a short comment that explains the reason.

An administrator can make comments mandatory for a system group.

Confirm

Click Sign.

Boomerang confirms when the change is completed.
