# Objects

An object represents an entity that may be equipped with measuring, transport, technical and control points.

An object must belong to at least one group.

It is typically a piece of equipment, a room, a location, or an item that you want to monitor.

An object can be a cold room with 3 temperature sensors or an incubator with a temperature and CO2 sensors. It can also be called “Daily CPs” and contain all the control points that shall be checked every day.

If an object is a room then it may contain all the measuring points located in this room. Another option is to create separate objects for every piece of equipment like fridge or incubator and assign sensors to the units. The way it is done depends on the system owner.
