# Create measuring point

The measuring points can be created manually or from UMP list.

BBO, WIN, BTiny and ICU Studio gateway’s measuring points can only be defined from the UMP list.

The process of MP creation looks the same for both methods, only the first steps are different. These first steps are described in chapters [Create MP manually](/boomerang-3-domain-administrator-manual/admin/infrastructure/infrastructure__measuring_points/create-mp-manually.md) and [Create MP from UMP list](/boomerang-3-domain-administrator-manual/admin/infrastructure/infrastructure__measuring_points/create-mp-from-ump-list.md) respectively.

Chapter [Create MP common steps](/boomerang-3-domain-administrator-manual/admin/infrastructure/infrastructure__measuring_points/create-mp-common-steps.md) presents the standard steps.
