WIN GW

If the GW is created from UG list, the type and MAC address are filled in automatically.

The Edit form looks as below:

WIN GW parameters

Parameter
Description

SNTP Server

Address of a SNTP (Real Time) server used by the gateway. It can be e.g., pool.ntp.org. WIN GW must have access to this server to set up its real time clock correctly. It will not send any measurements if this condition is not fulfilled.

SNTP Time zone

The gateway time zone correction given as an offset from UTC in hours. If this parameter is set incorrectly the measurements delivered by the GW will have incorrect time stamps which will result in incorrect logs and incorrect alarm times.

Post Period

Post period in seconds. The default value is 3600.

Update SNTP Gateway

A checkbox that must be selected to update the SNTP settings in gateway.

For the WIN gateway the user can perform the following operations:

In the gateway’s list click “Edit” icon in WIN GW row.

Click “Unlink” in “Edit Gateway” form, in connected MPs list and sign to unlink a child MP.

Fetch the sensors

From the gateway’s list click “Show the devices list” icon to fetch the MPs connected to the gateway.

The fetch will be confirmed and completed after information from the MPs is refreshed by the GW.

The “Health” value is equal to 7 when the MP works correctly. If the value is lower, then there are problems with the radio communication with the MP.

The red arrow icon indicates that MP is linked with a gateway and installed in B3.

Click the red arrow icon to unlink the MP node from the gateway.

The unlinked MP will not receive any new measurements. There may be so other MPs connected to the same node and they will stop sending the readings as well.

Please note that unlinked node will go into high power consumption mode because it will advertise on radio. It is recommended to avoid long unlinked periods for any battery driven WIN nodes because this state will drain the batteries vey quickly. More information may be found in T-WIN Gateway Installation Manual.

To link the unlinked MP with the gateway, click the red clip icon .

The MPs that are detected but not installed in B3 has blue plus icon . Click it to install the MP in B3. The same can be done from the UMP list.

Click green “FETCH SENSORS” button, to refresh the list of sensors connected to the gateway. The operation will take few minutes to complete.
