# Wake up WLREF to start logging

If WLREF is used, press its button to wake it up as the Cal App must send a command to initiate the measurements.

The first form shown below is for B3 calibration and the second is for manual calibration. In case of manual calibartion, the Cal App communicates only with WLREF.

The “BT device Connecting” in the windows above, shall change to “BT device Ready” and the window shall close automatically. After initiation, WLREF will start measuring every minute and will store the readings in its internal memory.

In case of Dostmann, logging was initiated manually in [Start logging for Dostmann P790](/boomerang-3-calibration-app-manual/performing-the-calibration/start-logging-for-dostmann-p790.md) chapter so the app will start the calibration immediately.
