Alarm status
To view the Alarm status select “Alarm status” in the View menu. This will return you to “System overview” screen shown after application start or one of its two other tabs if they were selected before. The other method to go there is to click small status bars area in the left bottom corner of the main screen marked red below.

“System overview” tab
When there are no open warnings or alarms then all bars are green.

If a warning or an alarm of a given type is triggered, the corresponding bar changes the color to yellow (for warning) or red (for alarm) respectively. The bar is yellow if there is at least one open warning and no alarms and it is red if there is at least one open alarm in the system regardless of the open warnings present.

Alarm signing
If an open warning or alarm exists then the user shall perform actions to correct the conditions that are the source of the alarm. The examples of correcting actions can be closing properly fridge doors or restoring GSM unit power. The alarm triggered will remain opened after corrections are done and conditions are back too normal.
Select the tab for sensor or system alarm to show the list of open events. To remove the alarm from the list, it must be signed by a user with the adequate rights. Select the alarms you want to sign and press the ‘Sign’ button. The ‘Sign’ button opens a window for signing the alarm. It is also possible to open the window by a double click on an event.

To sign, a user must enter his credentials. Optionally it can be possible to select a result code from the list of codes defined before as described in chapter 15 and enter a comment that e.g. describes the reason of the alarm for reference. Signing an event changes its state from opened (active) to closed (inactive).
The signed event disappears from the alarm list.
When all the alarms have been signed and alarm lists are empty then all the bars are green.
“Sensor alarm” tab
When a sensor warning or alarm is triggered a list of open events is shown in the ‘Sensor alarm’ tab. To sign more than one alarm see chapter 5.3.4
The sensor alarms are caused by:
the measurement being out of the limits,
no readings from a sensor,
a mismatch of sensors calibration data between the node and the sensor.

To view the details of an open warning or alarm double click it. The active sensor event can also be opened in the event view in the sensor view.

After the condition that caused the alarm is corrected, the ‘Sign’ button can be used to sign and close the event. If there are no other active sensor events, signing will change the system status to ‘OK’ and the Sensor status bar color to green.
If you click the chart button in the bottom left corner of the details form, you will go directly to the sensor which generated the alarm as shown below.

“System alarm” tab
When a system alarm is triggered a list of open events is shown in the ‘System alarm’ tab of the system overview screen. To view the details of an open system alarm double click it.
To sign more than one alarm see chapter 5.3.4.
The system alarms are caused by any events or conditions that jeopardize the system integrity or operation. The conditions causing system alarms are:
no readings from a sensor,
sensor not detected,
The list of the sources of system alarms above may not contain all of them due to continuous software development.

After the condition that caused the alarm is corrected, the ‘Sign’ button can be used to sign the event.
Signing multiple events
On some occasions, you may want to sign multiple alarms at once. To do so, select the alarms you want to sign holding Shift key clicked to mark a contiguous part of the list or with Ctrl key clicked to select them one by one.

Click “Sign” to open signing window.

Please note that when multiple events are selected for signing, a result code cannot be used but a comment can still be added. Click “OK” to sign all the alarms selected.
