# Microchip Ethernet Discoverer

Microchip Ethernet Discoverer is a tool that can be used to detect the BBO gateways in the network.

The software can be downlaoded from <https://icuscandinavia060.sharepoint.com/:u:/s/Technicalfile/EeH2PzQLe6FDowqQl4bMLAcBOthGJIZzhVxuV_Pj4CFldg?e=Aj7vJf>.

To detect the BBO:

1. Connect your computer to the same network.
2. Double click Microchip Ethernet Discoverer icon to run the program.<img src="/files/VoFwYflH1HxyKjSArgdv" alt="" data-size="line">

If this is the first time you run Discoverer, then you will have to “Allow access” in Windows Defender Firewall.

3. The Discoverer window shall open and list the BBO and WIN gateways detected over the network. To refresh the view, click “Discover devices”.

The tool only discovers the gateways in the network segment the PC is connected to.

4. Click a line of your choice to open the selected [BBO web interface](/bbo-gateway-installation-manual/bbo-web-interface.md).
